This is why you don't wake up a severely traumatized immortal with adamantium claws when he's having a nightmare. Or at least, you do it from a distance. :']

I love that Logan was genuinely so scared of what he did. This just makes a better point of why he avoided people so often.

This is one of the few times I've seen an accurate reaction to stabbing. No scream of pain, unable to speak due to shock, and as an added bonus, no blood spewing out of her mouth immediately. Very accurate.

"help me!"

One of the rarest moments Logan was genuinely terrified.

"Hey professor, we found this crazy guy in the woods, he has no idea who the f*ck he is and he's extremely aggressive and traumatised"

Professor: ok put him in the kids room

Man, poor Logan was scared asf. Imagine if Rogue didn't heal herself, everyone would be over him by killing a child even if it was an accident.

I was 16 when this movie came out. I miss those simpler times.

Both the principal actors in this scene did a phenomenal job. It's really difficult to accurately portray extreme distress like they did; her in physical trauma and he in emotional trauma. Just exceptional work. We know Hugh Jackman became synonymous with Logan after this movie but I'm not sure what Anna Paquin did next; I hope she's doing well. They both deserve a lot of credit for their talents.

Moral of the story: NEVER go into Wolverine's bedroom when he's sleeping, he might claw you before even he knows it.

What's brilliant - either a deliberate act by Singer or just by pure coincidence - it that Anna Paquin's hair covers where the claws would have gone in. So to everyone looking, there isn't even a scar on Rogue's back to show where the claws came back out, and they can't see the bloodsoaked holes in her nightgown where the claws went in. All they see is her absorbing Logan's vitality to the point that he passes out with no context.

I'm okay with just about all movie logic, but the entire school showing up at Logan's room in mere seconds after a call for help is a goddam miracle

I first saw this movie a long time ago when I was a kid, and this scene always stuck with me. It was wild.

I feel so bad for Rogue. Its easy to forget that she can never have a normal life. Most other mutants, even Mystique, can make their lives better and have deep connections. But Rogue can never try to give someone a reassuring gesture like a hand on the shoulder or something like that without the fear that she might cause them to keel over. Even if she's wearing her gloves, sometimes a hole or torn seam, she has to be cautions.

The wars. The experimentation. The years of sanity-sapping loss he experienced. Makes sense he has night terrors.

Rogue is one of my favorite X-Men characters from X-Men (2000).

My ex-wife did the same thing to me. She drained the life force out of me

I don't know who has the most tragic mutant ability, Rogue or Wolverine. Both cannot die under normal circumstances. Rogue has killed all the ones she deeply loved, except for Gambit and even then she almost did that. She cannot touch anybody and her power is not limited to mutants, her ability effectively steals as persons' life force and absorbs it. Wolverine, well we all know him well. His healing factor lets him live forever. This isn't really a problem for other immortal mutants, but in Logan's case his healing factor draws the attention of some really nasty people.

Hugh is the franchise. Deadpool shows that marvel just can't let him go. The new Deadpool movie's takings will show if the public really do indeed have had enough of this x men franchise.
