In the comics one time Doomsday beat Darkseid to near death. However that Avatar of Darkseid was weaker than his current depiction. If there was a rematch today I believe he'd fare better.

We all know that the movie versions are less powerful than the comic versions and in this case, it is very true because in the comics, Darkside was humbled by doomsday, literally beat him to a pulp. Darkside was unconscious. Here’s the story: first dooms day escaped from apocalypse, and he started destroying everything in sight. It got so bad that dark side felt he had to step in. There was a big explosion and his laser beams hit the back of doomsday dark so I had turned his back on what he thought was a dead doomsday, but then he got slashed in the back and be in to a pulp even gotten kne in the face. This shows how underestimated doomsday is.
