Those apologists saying it was a norm in the 7th century for old men to marry 9 year olds are lying. Even in my country of origin Somalia which is 99% sunni muslim the age of consent is 18. And when child marriages unfortunately does happen in Somalia it's usually the age of 15+. Not 9 because that would cause outrage. Even the christian byzantine empire at the time of Muhammed had a minimum age of marriage at 13 and consummation was delayed 1-2 years. I'm done with dawah guys excuses.
