This is the way all tutorials for new players should be. Don't overwhelm them with too many details, just give them enough information to understand the very basics, and they can learn more as they go. I pretty much had to learn POE from making every mistake possible, this video definitely would have sped that process up a lot for me if it was around when I started.

Thank you for this genuine beginners guide & tips. A lot of other beginner guides sadly jump straight to “Well you’ve beat the main story to the game now here’s how to play the Real Game with mapping & such”

or they start off at the beginning but then throw every single thing in the games encyclopedia at you all at once and don’t stop to give you a chance to understand it.

A key example is that I don’t even have a character past level 30 but I know all about mapping efficiently. So I laughed when you said “don’t worry about it cause you don’t have it unlocked” when talking about the Scion.

I'm here because D4 was disappointing and everyone was yelling "PoE is better this way" and "PoE is better that way".

7 hours in I fucking love the fact I can spam my skills and not worrying about mana.
I really really really love not having to use the basic attack 75% of the time, and I really love that most skills/spells don't have cooldowns.

Thanks for the video.. I just now started to watch a guide after it took me 6 hours to go from Act 1 to Act 2.. and I've heard their are 10 acts... but this guide was nice. It explained to me that what I'm doing right now is fine. I have friends that told me "theirs only specific builds on the skill tree... so if you mess up you're screwed".. and freaked me out so I looked up this video. Thanks again.

This is exactly what I wanted for a guide of HOW TO HAVE FUN. All the other guides explains things that I don't really give a f. As a beginner, I want to have fun first and then, if I wish, go for the powerful meta builds with trades and that random bs.

Such a great vid! I was watching through a number of different ones to find a good one to send to a friend who wants to try PoE, and most of the went to "and yeah then you wanna chisel your maps" immediately. This one was pure gold.
