i moved to paris!

and officially going to culinary school - bread school, to be exact. so here i am in france, ready to spend the next 30 days eating as many baguettes and croissants as i possibly can. i'm excited!!! more updates to come :)

I've been to Paris many times. You'll be glad you got there a week before class starts, because there's a lot to see and culinary school is hard work! Don't forget to enjoy it all, deep breaths.

3:12 If you're going to use it daily, I would look for a Nakiri knife instead. A meat cleaver is really made for chopping meat, which is why it's so heavy.
3:28 de Buyer is a great brand! I personally prefer Mauviel as their cooking wear is thinner, but you can't go wrong with a de Buyer pan. Don't be afraid to ruin it, it's a well made tool that's meant to be used! Just be aware that copper heats up (and cools down) faster than steel, so it takes a bit of practice.
