Rishi Sunak says he's ‘absolutely shocked’ by Mone’s Covid contract allegations

Rishi Sunak claimed that he's ‘absolutely shocked’ by Tory peer Michelle Mone's Covid contract allegations.

The prime minister also confirmed Baroness Mone has lost the Conservative whip – after she announced a leave of absence from the House of Lords to try to clear her name.

Until now, ministers have declined to comment on the allegations, over lucrative contracts given to the company PPE Medpro, which she recommended to ministers.

I fear that she, alone, will only get done for skimming off the PPE so as to distract from the others that have done it. Very very much hoping she gets a custodial sentence. Taking the money back won’t make much difference to her as her husband has 3 billion but hopefully she can be humiliated and disgraced.

They’re all at it though. We know Nadhim Zahawi created a company in his sons name and gave it a PPE contract. Gove gave one to an ex advisor/donor. Hancock gave one to his mate that runs a pub.

he probably shouldn’t have said that because this is exactly how starmer got Boris with the parties. It is also helpful that the information on this is slowly dripping out it could be the case that rishi did know about something like this allowing starmer to ask why he said he didn’t know
