Mass Effect 3 - 'I Was Lost Without You'

For those who are wondering how I made this video:

I recorded myself (video) playing the piano while also recording the audio portion of that "live" performance. This is what you see and hear from 0:00 to 1:42. I took the orchestral/synth part of the romance tune and mix-pasted the beginning into the tail end of my performance so it's seamless.

This is not the same performance that I did for the version on the soundtrack and in-game. There are very subtle differences if you listen for them!

The Mass Effect series had a profound effect on me as an adolescent, it is still my favourite game to play (as a trilogy). But without a shadow of a doubt the pinnacle of this game is when this particular song plays. It embodies the profoundness of the entire story and this universe marvellously.
I have lost count of the number of hours spent listening to this song on repeat (and others of yours from the soundtrack!) reliving the events of the games in my mind. Artists like you are blessed. Blessed with the incredible gift to influence people’s lives with their creations. I don’t think you will ever realise how much this particular song means to me, because of its relation with the game but also in its own right as a stand-alone piece of Art.

This just played on my Spotify playlist and I immediately teared up because I remembered the emotional roller coaster that was Mass Effect 3, and how my journey with RPG games began with Mass Effect.
