I just realised that the last segment about me getting fired and quitting from my translation work (at least for now) might have sounded a bit gloomy, but I didn't mean it like that! I agree with your planning and description on gybing if you are on the top of the wave is best. The block was probably faulty or worn but I think the problem came with the main sheet ease. It must be eased as the boom comes over to take the pressure off all the fittings and release the power when the boat looses momentum. As all that force goes into the blocks and gooseneck. Otherwise a great video as always well done.

Speaking as someone who knows nothing about sailing, I can see that you are very knowledgeable, experienced and industrious and the challenges you've faced you've dealt with so well. You and Sohvi have overcome so many obstacles together, I think the two of you can face anything. As for the loss of your job, I'm sure you have heard the old adage that "when one door closes, another one opens".
