How do any of you even accept to read a book which he was explicitly against publishing?! CG gives you infinite tomes of knowledge and countless paradigm shifts for 50 years and then you go ahead and go against his wishes after all he's given you? Finding the soul is very difficult as going inside past all the noise of the world and our ego driven minds is so painful. When we finally reach the soul there is for a time a beautiful peace. But to truly love our souls and be with them we must be willing to examine and love our shadow self so that true integration is possible. For me this has been the most difficult part. When I do spend time with the soul I know I am a spiritual being in a physical body. The more I realize that the more compassion and empathy I feel more my shadow self. The truth is my shadow self is the hurt and pain from years of living. I can only love myself by accepting that hurt scared little girl and telling her from my soul, Hush, little one I have you. Hold on and I will protect you. She will be okay as long as I continue to love and protect her. When I can do that I can truly integrate this precious hurting shadow self into my spirit soul. We all have damaged shadow selves, just some more than others. Our ego wants so much to lash out and prove we are tough, but being loving in the face of ridicule is the biggest challenge of all.
