I won't boycott but have started watching all bollywood movies strictly on OTT. I save the cinema ticket/popcorn/cold drink money and investing that in Indian stocks which will grow with our country. I will use the profit money for annual quarterly vacation in the Maldives etc 😉.

Anybody can see the track record of Indian film industry and understand what type of movies generally are the blockbusters. There are countless movies from Bollywood which have flopped despite having great content or new genre. I can bet, if Forest Gump was an original Indian origin film, it would've flopped at the box office, it's simply because these type of narrative driven movies rarely succeed at the Indian box office.
It's all about style over substance, loud pompous, commercial masala that are the chart busters.

Forest gump is one of my Favourite movie and when I watched this movie for the first time I thought if Bollywood ever makes a remake of Forest Gump who can play Tom Hanks role in a perfect way and the one name was popped it in my mind and it was Aamir Khan. And I am waiting for it. And it will be comeback for Bollywood.
