This tutorial will show you how to create a skip trowel texture. You can apply skip trowel texture to any drywall repair, a wall you have removed wallpaper from, an accent wall or just for preference.

Supplies you'll need:
All purpose compound
Drywall pan
6" drywall knife
Measuring cup
Sand sponge
Small bucket

Thanks so much for the tips on Skip Trowel because I have been in the business over 30 years and I don't see any down here in South Ga. It's mainly just slick and knockdown ceilings around here. I'm going to do a few ceilings in my house to see how it turns out with myself doing it and then I may introduce it to some new home owners around here. Try this with a wider knife, say 14 to 18 inches then repeat. Great video.

For you DIYers he is making this look soooo easy his technique is exactly that and yours may not come out as nice but trial and error also skip trowel work doesn't have to be uniform. Actually, it's better the more chaotic the look. Good luck.
