*Lupercalia is what that is known as "Valentine's Day" in the modern time. The name Valentine came from a pious saint who was actually against such degenerate festival. But as the Roman officials were growing weary of Saint Valentine's actions, they threw him into the jail and afterwards executed the man. Roman officials used his name to rename the festival into Valentine's Day so that later generations would consider such an occasion to be "holy". It's like wearing a wolf with sheep's clothes*

People would sacrifice their children to Baal back in Bible times. How can they do that? I'm glad I didn't live in those times

My bros and I celebrate Lupercalia every year! It’s followed up by our famous jailhouse after parties when the plebs mistake our festivities for “assault”

Actually for the Aztec, it was blood daily, not hearts. Hearts were the ultimate sacrifice but the nobles would pierce themselves daily in the tounge, elbow creases, groins (mostly the men) anywhere to get blood because they believed theor noble blood was pure.

The lower classes were sacrificed but only for auspicious days / festivals / crop harvest / king's death / prince's birth/ etc
