Finally took you to the wonderfully lazy Marks and Spencer's food hall. Is it the British version of Erewhon?

I'm a Waitrose/Marks and Sparks girl...this both brought me comfort and homesickness, simultaneously. Im now begging my family to send me a care package solely filled with M&S if it can make it to New Orleans without melting. ❤💔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

American here. We often shop at M & S when in London because we stay for 1-2 weeks at a time and save money by eating from grocery stores or small shops versus restaurants, plus it’s healthier. We enjoy the cultural experience of shopping there too. Food is 10-30% higher here and in the US it’s often taxed 6-10%, varies by state. Items like those bakery goods, cheese trays, etc. are convenient for tourists. Crossing my fingers that your new Labor government will work to lower your energy costs! Thanks for taking us shopping, Hannah!!

American here. That's a great price for all that food. Definitely worth it. Good quality too.

I would love to see you and Nat have an afternoon tea at home. Take us shopping to buy all the pre-made food, then how you decorate the table, then rate what you bought.

From a fan in the USA, “beige picky bits” is my new favorite phrase! It’s no longer drinks and apps at my house, it’s cocktails and beige picky bits!

As you’ve mentioned Hannah, many of us viewers are amazed at the selection of prepared and semi-prepared foods in UK supermarkets. Would love for you, and perhaps your sister too!, to do a “picnic basket” tasting review of popular categories of packaged foods suitable for a picnic in the park. Kinda like how the 2 of you review tea time foods? Might be interesting and helpful for us visitors to London!

I am in Australia, and these prices are very, very reasonable compared to our heavily overpriced supermarkets here. The fruit was so cheap compared to here.
Everything looks so tasty and fantastic, thanks for a great video.

I would love for anyone who criticises British food to watch this. Everything looks so yummy and fresh 🤤

Thanks for sharing!! For me, fond childhood memories of a Christmas dress, and snacks from M&S.

I know there are many food options these days but for me M&S is still M&S. Thanks Hannah 😊

Yet another American here. I was in Scotland in May with my cousins. We shopped at M & S and thought the prices were very reasonable! We bought not only food, but laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, paper towels, paper cups, paper napkins, and the like to use at our Airbnb. We had an overflowing cart and it cost 161 pounds! Everything we bought would have been twice the cost at home! Lovely store, that M & S! We loved everything we bought!

Thanks Hannah. When I was in London last year, my friend and I stayed about two blocks from that exact M&S. Every night we stopped by to pick up something for dinner and breakfast the next day. In two weeks I think we only ate out 4 times. Just loved M&S! And yes, to us in Los Angeles, the food there is so cheap!

American here - I wish I had a place nearby with all that amazing variety of prepared meals, particularly as I'm about to have a baby. The convenience of healthy, premade, and delicious food options is fantastic.

So nice to see a YouTube video where every other word isn’t « like », no swearing & everything enunciated perfectly. Excellent ❤😊👌👍

American here. I love M&S! I fell in love with them in Hong Kong and it's where I buy most of my food when I travel to the UK. I travel alone and stay in guesthouses rather hotels and after a day of wandering all I want is good food and solitude. I stop by M&S, pick up something prepared for supper (salmon and new potato salad and trifle) and breakfast (bramley apple tarts) in my room. Now I'm hungry and need another England trip.

You’ve got it wrong, the value range in M&S is cheaper than Aldi, the fresh chicken £1.50 for two chicken quarters, £1.75 for wings, value vegetables less than other supermarkets and the quality is second to none, Hannah if you don’t believe me check all the supermarkets out. The expensive items are meat and fish but having said that the flavour, the quality, excellent. XX
