This was an unrehearsed impromptu addition to the concert. Prince had just died on the day of this concert. No one in the band had ever performed that song live. Someone pointed out that Chris is actually reading the music and lyrics while he is playing. What you got there was pure improv in the moment. That is true talent.

Prince had a huge impact on me musically in my teen years and I've been a fan of Stapleton's for several years now so I was very happy to see this come together. Chris nailed it, especially knowing this was not rehearsed very much and it was so soon after Prince's passing.

I literally didn't know who this guy was til I saw I saw this video (The original). The day after Prince died everyone and their grandma go on the tribute bandwagon but this one stuck with me as very genuine because it was the same day... it was set up or canned. Let's me know that he's a real fan of Prince that felt the loss and wanted to share. Props to Mr. Stapleton. Shitty to think but it's just fact that some people we're just out there doing Prince tributes to get clicks.

Love Chris's voice as always and how he did this song was so great, but totally dislike this video. Being a fan made video just makes the audio pretty much crap with the fans being so loud. But thank you for doing this cover by Chris, Tae!
