i really love how these 2 songs not just sonically but also lyrically compliment each other like heathens are people who dont believe in any god or not part of any religious ideologies but how the song transitions from quiet rebellious sound of heathens unto a beautiful calming song which is trees in which, after all he (tyler) just wants to know if God really is there so he could know that his life isnt in vain, his fears will be gone and that there is really someone to believe in despite not seeing any proof. daammn tyler, just pure artistry!

Trees is my favorite song by TØP, so hearing this version of it was amazing, and I'm in love. Trees was my song when I was depressed, anxious, just anything. It has ALWAYS been my comfort song, and hearing this version of it is amazing. These past 3 months have been really rough for me. My mom died 3 days before I turned 18 and I'm just struggling to want to stay alive. But everytime I'm down, I think of this song. Just. This. One. And it reminds me that I'm still here, and I need to just be. Alive. And to take it, all of this. One day at a time. This is a reminder to take it a day at a time if you're feeling down, or anything.
