I did this this with chapstick a couple years ago. I was playing in my league and my opponent didn’t show. I was playing really well, I was -1 after 3 holes. I already won the match so I told the other guys what I was doing. I set up like I normally do for my power fade, no joke smoked it, was waiting for it to cut back on the dogleg right, nope. Caught the edge of the rough and bounced into the woods dead straight ahead of me. Had to take a unplayable. Bad third shot chip and a 2 putt. Moral of the story, shit works but cheaters never win!

I find that keeping my driver clean and cleaning the face with metal polish helps as well. As far as I know that's not against any rules.

Anyone that knows anything about golf knows that anytime you apply anything to the face of your club you lose distance, I tried it on the practice range n noticed a significant drop in distance from before and after I tried it
