So as you can see this knot comes by three different names, what do you know this noose knot as?

So this rather wonderful midline noose knot can be easily tied in the bight of a rope, in other words, if you do not have access to the ends of the rope, you can still tie this very secure and reliable noose in the middle of your rope.

I am sure that many people once they see the advantages of using this midline noose knot, they will add it to their arsenal of knots!

According to Ashley's Book of Knots, this noose knot is often used by lobstermen and crabmen around their pots. He also goes onto say that as there are no ends, the security of this knot never comes into question.

For reference, this noose knot is ABoK 1126. The diagram for creating this knot looks very simple, but there is a knack on how to tie it.

SO now we need to figure out 1: the bull hitch in the bight and 2: prusik in the bight. Both useful as adjustable tensioning systems.
