With the handwrap method, you can use less rope by using one-two fingers instead of the whole hand.

Not to mention, you can safely apply load in either direction, AND this knot will remain relatively easy to untie. Truly one of the most versatile knots.

I love these videos.
A way to make this knot using the hand wrap method but not use so much cord is to wrap it around 3 or even 2 fingers rather than the whole hand.
Just a thought.

This loop has saved me from having to cut n discard paracord. When taking down my hammock. As this loop come undone far quicker than other knots.

The hand wrap method is a lot easier. I also use it to shorten the cinch cord on bags.

When I actually need a knot I’m going to think “I don’t remember anything I’ve ever seen on that channel and I don’t remember what the channel is” and then I’ll do the old fashioned bunny ears technique.

I wish I could remember knots. I know about 8, that I've used frequently in my life, but I don't need any new ones - at least not often. If I don't use a knot frequently I will soon forget it.

The twist method you're showing is how it's done ! The other methods are just complicating a very simple, extremely useful knot.

Instead of the hand method i use 2 fingers and then it requires less rope

Just don’t use the hand twist method in any circumstance the rope could become suddenly loaded.
