Regular Car Reviews: 1991 Nissan Stanza

The Nissan Stanza is the shoe-gazer of cars. Complainant enough, but driven to exhaustion by trying placate the lower-middle class. If the Stanza were a sport, it would be slow-pitch softball. If it were TV Channel, it would be Community Bulletin Board. If it were a food, it would be a communion wafer. If the Nissan Stanza was a conversation topic, it would be Weather.

A car so inconspicuous that my friend's mother never ever used to get pulled over when she drunkenly drove us to the hockey rink every day in the 90's

When I was a service tech, we had a regular customer who had one of these. He came in for his oil changes on time, every time. The car had over 350, 000 miles and ran like a champ. The oil was always clean.

I WAS the kid who actually talked to the Mothers of my friends. Some of my friends handled this better than others.

First car crash i was ever in was in a stanza,  rolled over into a ditch,  fliped the car over and out of the ditch and it drove home.

Please do my 2005 Chevrolet Aveo.  It's the alcoholic nephew you just keep bailing out even though the last useful thing they did for you was drive you to the mall on a tuesday - of subcompacts.

Welp, now I'm missing my 92 stanza all over again. So many speeding tickets in that car. The manual transmission made it a lot sportier than you'd believe it could be, especially when you realized how light it was. The automatic seatbelts were quite the novelty too. People we're always throw off by them.

My "graduation" car was a 91 Stanza. That was in 1991... Inside of 3 years, I got it to 128mph on the highway (and was about to get "airborne, ") and carried 900lbs of recycling newspapers in the back seat. Not the same incident...Was a decent little sedan.

AND, I never got hassled by the cops, as some other commenters say, it was inconspicuous.

This was my first car ever... Well tectonically it was my parents' car. I loved it. It was one of the easiest to drive vehicles I've ever driven, and had a lot of torque considering what it was and what it had.

I also installed my first sound system in it, complete with two 15s (yes they fit) in the trunk... In a bandpass box.

The fact that you referenced 24 from the venture brothers makes you my favorite person on YouTube. No questions asked.

As if I needed any more reason to be addicted to your videos... The Venture Brothers quote made me laugh harder than I had in quite a while!

I AM DYING. I cannot stop watching these videos. I've been on the west coast for 12 years now, but I am from PA and I get all the regional references he is dropping. I love it!

Best car I ever owned was a ‘92 Stanza. 400k miles on it original motor and transmission and drove as good as the day I got it at 100k. Biggest mistake I’ve made car wise is letting my dad sell it to a friend that needed a car since I had just got a brand new Spec V Sentra in 04.
