I have a Kenwood Excelon X501 amp, and an Excelon XR900-5 amp. What is the highest output alternator that can be used without damaging the amps?

I have been purchasing Kenwood since 1999. I have had 4 systems. All Excelon. I have to say though the double dins are alot more cooler when you use them at their peak. I noticed the single dins when paired with my amplified bazooka tube would overheat and I'd have to turn the music down and let it cool off. The double din just keeps on rolling!! I just got a DPX594BT for my 01 F-150 extended cab. Had to do some cuttin and I made it work perfectly. Keep the stock appearance. Wasnt easy but well worth the 300 dollar savings for aftermarket panels they sell for a double din for that truck. Love yalls products and just wondering is there anything I'm missing when programing the subwoofer that the instructions dont tell you. They are kinda bland and I just go by sound. What sounds good to me. But I want to get all this thing has got. I'm gonna get some 6x8 4 way speakers for the truck cause the stock ones aint cuttin it. What Kenwood 4 ways would you recommend? I was thinking about going with some Pioneers? I need for of them and the harnesses to hook to factory speaker harness. Thanks for reading my story.

Used to love your auto D mask, and had the x617, x817, and x917. All of them, the ribbon cables went bad just right after the warranty period. Had x817 repaired twice, then never got a kenwood again, what a shame.

I just got a Kenwood Excelon DMX-958XR and it didn't come with the gps antenna or microphone or maybe the accesories fell out and I didn't notice, I had to put in my own usb cable too. I bought a gps antenna and mic that work but car play will disconnect in certain parts of town, it's always in those same areas. I can drive through those areas with my other rig that has a Clarion single din deck from 2015 and it doesnt have any problems with bluetooth disconnecting. I bought a different gps antenna thinking it was the problem, it was supposed to be an oem kenwood brand antenna but I ran the numbers and it returned a clarion number. Do I need an actual "KENWOOD" gps antenna to fix the connection issues or is there something else going on?
