Kenwood Excelon DMX809S in-dash receiver | Crutchfield

Показать описание
The Kenwood Excelon DMX809S touchscreen in-dash receiver gives you wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus delivers a nice upgrade in sound quality over factory.
Phone integration is excellent, giving you wired and wireless options for connecting your phone. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto put a familiar interface on the screen, with your maps and music front and center. Voice control lets you field calls and messages without taking your eyes off the road.
If you're not interested in CarPlay or Android Auto, there's built-in Bluetooth for convenient music streaming and hands-free calls. Two phones can be connected at the same time for hands-free calling.
Kenwood has a fun Bluetooth feature called Music Mix that lets up to 5 people in the car connect their phones at once and play DJ. Don't worry, though, they can't all play at the same time, and the driver has ultimate control! Seems like it would be a fun road trip feature when you're loaded up for the weekend.
Kenwood's built-in amplifier in the DMX809S boasts 22 watts RMS, or continuous power, with 50 watts for peak musical hits. That's a nice boost over most factory radios, and the DMX809S uses a high-quality digital-to-analog converter (or DAC) to turn your digital and streaming tunes into crisp, detailed music for your speakers to play. The clarity offered by the DAC and the amplifier truly elevate the sound in your car.
The extra power on tap also unlocks the potential of many aftermarket speaker upgrade options, which is a nice initial upgrade in sound quality while you install the DMX809S. Aftermarket speakers are built with better materials, can handle more power, and re-create more musical detail than almost every factory speaker out there, and even a modest set of speakers can seriously outperform what came installed from the factory.
Side note: our vehicle fit database is really one of a kind. As of the date of this video, we've measured the openings and photographed the process of disassembling dash and door trim in over 40,000 vehicles. We provide that info free with your order, in the form of disassembly instructions.
But back to the stereo at hand. The DMX809S gives you some nice sound-shaping tools, so you can dial in the best sound for your car or truck. Digital time alignment, detailed crossover settings, and a 13-band EQ help you fine-tune your sound to perfection. Plus, the DMX809S has a full suite of 5-volt preamp outputs for when you plan to add on in the future, like a powered sub or a full set of amplifiers.
