Defensively, I hope to see some continuation of Mason’s Flexible Four at the back. Emerson providing his solid right back work allows Davies (or another left back) to bomb forward while the rest of the back three move a bit to the left to cover.

I think the thing that will help our players most when thinking about injuries, is that under Morinho and Conte our play was very much stop/start, which does not help at all, and we saw in the end the players hated it.
Under Ange our game will be more perpetual motion, and as everyone knows rhythm is all important for fitness as well as instinctive actions in any given situation. Ange I reckon will play in this vein, so will take a bit of time to bed in, but will inevitably be more enjoyable for the players and us fans.

If Lo Celso can stay fit i think he could work in Postecoglu's system, he plays left side of midfield in a 4-3-3 for Argentina and does well, also for Villarreal, there's a reason Unai Emery was linked with him.

I feel like Pedro porro is the reason for kulu's bad performances. Kulu played better with Emerson cause Emerson just gave him the ball and kulu could whip in crosses to get assists but with porro, he doesn't need to give kulu so kulu's numbers dipped since porro can literally do everything kulu can. I noticed this last season and idk if anyone else did but lmk what you guys think about this

Hojbjerg will fall flat on his face but to be honest I don't think he will be at spurs much longer, not good enough he's in the Dier, Sanchez group for me. Likes to finger wag and throw his arms up in the air but when it really matters there’s no accountability.

Davies will struggle with highline, porro will struggle with a back 4, sessegnon will struggle for fitness but is homegrown, Bentancur might struggle after so long out as players legs sometimes go after an injury and many dont fully return from such lengthy injuries kaboul, sandro, rose, lamela, wanyama etc

If Son cant come back to form, its going to be a loooong season for us. Hopefully the hernia surgery brings him back to his best. Kane and Son (and Deki + Richarlison) scoring will cover up many faults the team has.
