The funny part the average pet owner doesn’t know how to deal with the average pet

My neighbor actually had a wolf dog husky and we never realized it as kids. She was super duper sweet, protective, and extremely smart. We were actually able to walk her without a leash. She never left us, the kids at the time, alone. She would always guard us we walked.

I had a half timberwolf, half German Shepard, and he was the love of my life
Faithful, loyal and loving, as well as gentle. He lived 15 years and I loved him so much. His name was Cochise, and I pray I will see him in heaven.

My great uncle's German Shepherd got pregnant by a wolf and he didn't know until the puppies got bigger. Once he figured it out he took them all to the vet to fix them and raised them on his farm. This was 60 years ago. They were very friendly but they had lots of space and he trained them well

I owed a wolf hybrid for 18 years. I'll never have another dog but a wolf dog. ❤Maximus gave me the best years of my life. I'll ❤️ love him till the end of time.

Brother had two wolf-dog hybrids, one a rescue. VERY intelligent. He cried his eyes out when they died of old age related illnesses. Never got more, too hard to take any more heartbreak…

A tenant in one of my dad’s houses had a wolf dog. She was very quiet and well behaved in general but when he shut her in the garage one night, she clawed through the solid core, hardwood door into the kitchen.

I had a female wolf hybrid, she was the finest companion a person could ask for.
She was more challenging to train than the average dog, but it was that, or she'd have been put down - wolf hybrids were illegal here, and I wasn't giving up on her.
She was clever, intelligent, good natured, protective, loyal and dedicated.
145lbs of man's best friend.

Absolutely! I live in Idaho, idk about the laws but when I was younger, my little brother found a puppy wandering in the snow with frost bitten paws and no one in the area knew where he belonged. We took him to a vet, he turned out to be Timber Wolf & Rottweiler mix ! We kept him, and he turned out to be a HUGE dog and an amazing, loving, protective member of the family! He was definitely a challenge to raise in our neighborhood home but we figured it out and never had any major issues along the way. He was beautiful, massive and extremely powerful and the most unique pet we've ever had. When my son was a baby, he was at his side the whole time we were home.. there was an amazing connection between them as my son grew up.. it was a beautiful partnership! I wouldn't suggest this to just anyone though, it took a lot of time and effort to get out dog to be happy and healthy and well trained to get him to be the way he was. I don't think the person that's rarely home and puts any dog in a cage while they're very busy in their work & social lives, leaving very little time for the dog and being caged up all the time is fair to the dog at all! It does more damage than good for them, so please choose a pet that fits your lifestyle and could thrive in the accommodations you could provide for it.

Many years ago I was blessed with a wolf-dog for a pet. She was my best friend and a great protector. Regulations weren't a really big thing back then. I wish I had the opportunity to have another one. 🙂

I had a ½ timber wolf ¼husky ¼German shepherd named Dragon...(he chose the name himself by consistently looking at me when I said it ) He was the smartest, gentlest, most affectionate dog who loved any type of animal we brought around him from orphaned squirrels who he counted every morning, to orphaned fawns, birds, puppies and kittens. I miss him dearly.

Mine was only a 1/4 timberwolf. She was very is to house break, loyal loved people (unless you gave her the finger), and even went with me to my chemotherapy, giving hugs with her head to the other patients and staff. Everyone loved her. She could howl in perfect pitch with ambulances and had a beautiful smile. Sadly she passed (14 1/2yrs) from mouth cancer 3mos after my chemo ended. She was my best friend, the love of my life, I miss her terribly and love her forever with all my heart and soul 😿😿😽

I would suggest that all dog owners should treat their dogs like these beautiful dogs....

After raising several litters of wolf hybrids with Malmutes, they are the most intelligent, family oriented, and protective members of my pack. Living long lives if raised well, some to 19 yrs old. RIP sweet Cinderella! Anikko and white Fang . We still howl at night for you!❤

Had a Gsd wolf hybrid best dog I ever had totally loyal, obedient, gentle, good with small dogs children and cats and when playing he always geared the speed and physicality of the game to suit the person or animal he was playing with. But when someone fked around different story whether human or animal his growl along with the slow deliberate stalk towards them was all it took to immediately take the fight out of any threat to his pack, 19 years of loyal protection and unconditional love I still miss you big boy
