In the reboot series when they went through heat blasts planet they mentioned once a year that they put a gem in a volcano to chill down the planet. Maybe it has to do with their ability of tolerating cold

I think that rather than cryokinesis it's heat absorption which would make sense. If Heatblast has a cold then he needs more heat to survive. So it would make sense that rather than getting ice powers a sick Pyronite just absorbs heat since Heatblast has already showcased the ability to absorb heat from fires.

It's the inverse of a fever for that alien. Rather than heating up to kill bacteria causing the illness, the immune response to a bacteria that can survive extreme heat would be to go very cold.

My guess is true omnitirx also changes the bacteria in his system to the equivalent of the common cold for the alien species that way there’s no war of the worlds situations where one of the aliens dies of an earth cold

I like the idea that it is physically impossible for Heatblast to have a fever and the Pyronite equivalent is the complete opposite. After all, he was still sneezing and speaking like he had a stuffy nose despite likely not have a respiratory system that can produce mucus, if he has one at all

It's pretty interesting to see how different human illnesses can effect different alien species. And it does make some sense, since it's theorized that if aliens were to actually exist they would most likely become extinct if they were to come in contact with something as simple as the common cold.

I always thought that since ben transform while already being infected by a disease, the bacteria in his body also transformed with him making them enhanced versions of other alien diseases, thats why his transformations are also sick even though there supposed to be peak versions of there species

The Omnitrix can bond to its user, so if the user gets a cold, the aliens in the Omnitrix would get it as well. 🎉
