Recently discovered leaks at a CO2 Injection well in Illinois as well as numerous leaks at Texas injection wells raise serious concerns about the ability to safely store CO2 in underground storage wells.
We are bringing together policy and technical experts, and community leaders to educate Members of Congress and their staff about the cause of the leaks, safety, health concerns, environmental justice concerns, and broad policy implications (10/22/24).
