Microsoft Surface Go in 2023 Review

The Microsoft Surface Go 1 was released in 2018, but how good is it almost 5 years later? The Surface Go 1 is the older version of the Microsoft surface Go 3 and 2. Microsoft also introduced a surface laptop go which is not the same as the surface go lineup. In this video we are taking a look at the price, build quality, cameras, battery life, performance, keyboard microsoft surface type cover and more. The first generation does not officially support windows 11, but the surface go 2 and up does work with windows 11.

Still using my Surface Go 1 for PDF reading (during residency). The battery is still great, the pen works wonderfully and overall the quality of Microsoft devices is great. (I have a Duo 2 as phone and dropped it so many times)

Nice review. My former employer used those Surface Go 1 as POS devices with wireless peripherals and I had a personal Surface Go 2 with Core m3 and in my opinion the m3 is much much faster than the Pentium in the first generation and works way better and I would even say that one could be well used today for browsing, email, youtoube and such I had Windows 11 on it and it worked fine, a friend bought it off of me and was very happy. I still feel the screen to be too small for multiple windows and have a big enough font for me so I went with the Pro 9. The Go 1 I would only recommend if you really want a special application that is very light on CPU and use it only for that thing, like POS but even that ran quite slow and took a long time to boot as it had a local database that needs all the RAM.

I am a student and I need to use SPSS.. currently I have an iPad Air 4 but cannot use SPSS on iPad.. so I am thinking of getting this Microsoft surface 3.. I will use SPSS, Microsoft word and PowerPoint, PDF files and some video browsing.. that’s all..

Can anyone tell me if I should buy this for those tasks? I don’t have big budget either..

Its meant for on the go ! I leave my surface pro at home and take the go for emails and media consumption on the go 👍
