Awesome tutorial! I just finished a couple, and here are some things that I've noticed/I did wrooong.
#1: When Tiffany says to make the lapels small, that's an understatement. Go a lot smaller than you think that you need! Seriously; my first one looks super weird because I did them too large.
#2: Make sure that they (the lapels) are matched perfectly in size; it's a lot easier to topstitch the cord-channel and it generally looks better if they're even to begin with.
#3: When stitching the seam allowance on the lapels (noticing a pattern here?), use the same thread as you'll be using to topstitch/finish the bag. It's kinda frustrating having them slightly mismatched when finished, and it can be quite noticeable.
#4: Did I mention that it's an awesome tutorial? 'Cause it is! :)

Making a bunch of these with a historical look. I'm using two colors of 100% linen (may do one with thin wool too). Making the drawstring out of braided/double twisted wool thread. Plan to hang it from a belt viking style. Thanks for the tutorial! Really appreciate it.

Just finished making some DC comic themed bags for my nephew for Christmas (he's getting DC dice masters from his parents) and am almost done with a Marvel themed pair for myself and my husband. Absolutely LOVED this tutorial. The bags came out perfect and were so simple! Though I like to think I'm crafty, I have very little sewing experience and these were easy enough for me to make and look professional. Thanks so much for making the video and sharing! I'll email you pictures of them all once I finish.
