Cross Stitch 101: Parking Method | Embroidery Tutorial

Parking is one of those cross stitch methods of stitching that can be absolutely baffling to learn, but an invaluable skill when working on those enormous HAED patterns. Here's one version of parking you may find particularly easy to learn!

This video was very helpful in explaining not only how to do parking but exactly what it is & why somebody would choose to do it. I really appreciate that because as a "thread chaser" or cross country stitcher I've never tried this & wondered why on earth you would want long threads hanging down. I really like your method of parking. I've watched other videos and yours is the first one that makes sense to the way my brain works, I think. :) Part of it is that you're working top to bottom on your 10x10 blocks instead of left to right. For some reason, the idea of starting in the top left and working down to the bottom and THEN moving to the next 10x10 to the right makes a lot more sense to my brain. Thanks for showing us how you do it!
