Thanks for the video. It’s so much easier on a ramp. I’m use to laying in the dirt on the floor 😜

Great video love working on my 07 mondeo mk3 but never as easy as it looks working with jack stands in all weather no ramp makes it alot harder.

Great video, but if you push down on the asrm to re-locate the lower wishbone joint you run the risk of damaging the the hydrobush - he should have put the arm in place with the subframe down and then located the lower wishbone joint in the hub and THEN put the sub frame back up - poor work practice to show in this video for what are otherwise an excellent series of videos on your site.

Good video as per usual. I'm a good mechanic but I like to see how things are done. Watching this makes it easier for me. I'm an old fart now lol. Keep up the good work 👍😎

Why do the Ford Mondeos not have the heat shield metal piece on the ball joint as the Jaguar X-Types do?

I'm guessing this would be almost impossible to do if you have it on the ground with only one side up? I mean you have to loosen the entire subframe to get the arm out I'm thinking by what I saw @6:20?

Thanks for the Video. But where can I buy a Mondeo like this one? Where nothing is rusted solid, ceased, snaps, needs a BFH, or heat to get it off!!!

Where are you getting leverage to re install the ball joint? I'm struggling.

Great vids but when will be doing a repair guide on the mondeo mk4 facelift?

Very good tutorial video. I attempted to Swap the lower ball joints on my Mondeo but just couldn't get the ball joint out even though the torx bolt and three retaining bolts on the arm were out. Would you suggest leaving the retaining bolts in and using the bar to lever the ball joint out? I won't sue you if it goes wrong!

Nice job but why should this whole lower arm replaced? Do these old bushes cause any steering vibration?

What, no cordless buzz-gun or release spray..??? Reading the comments below, if you`re going to attempt this job (I did mine on a concrete hardstanding) make sure you have a breaker bar, a decent cordless buzz-gun, release spray (GT-85 is my fav)
I have just replaced the O/S wishbone on my Mondy Mk3 and once I dropped the rear subframe (I was doing this at ground level, so I used a small scissor jack under the alternator bracket against the subframe to give extra clearance to draw the rear bolt from the top) and replaced the arm, I put the rear bolt back in facing upwards, so if I have to remove it again for any reason, it will less of an arse-ache...
...and you don`t need a gearbox jack when you undo the rear sub-frame bolt, it`s not going to drop very far.... I didn`t bother dropping the N/S/R subframe bolt when we did it on the ramp (I swapped the wishbone from my spare Mondy to my working Mondy) we dropped the front subframe bolt and I hung on the a large pry bar to remove the bolt... I hope this makes sense...

At the 3:00 min mark, that 15mm spanner should be offset!!! There is no way to get a good grip on the bolt head with a flat spanner. That bolt head is sitting in a bit of a dish. It just cams off, and rounds the bolt!

Well no torque settings for a start, and going by other comments I hope I haven't damaged my bushes by pushing down as shown in the video!
