The 2014 Chickasaw Nation Dynamic Women’s Conference & Forum was held at the Artesian Hotel and Chickasaw Cultural Center on April 17. The theme for this year's event was "Your Life, Your Canvas" and showcased Chickasaw elders and the next generation of young women. Dr. Shannon Speed, an anthropologist and the 2013 Dynamic Woman of the Year, was the keynote speaker. As Dr. Speed describes it, the Conference & Forum is a "gathering of women doing wonderful work in all kinds of realms."
