This video covers everything you need to know about 1957 $1 Dollar Bills, or 1957 $1 Silver Certificates with blue seals, from the history of the note to the design to the different factors that might make them valuable or not (and special characteristics that have outsize value catalysts). 1957, 1957A, and 1957B notes are all included in this video. Collecting rare currency and older banknotes, especially U.S. banknotes, exposes collectors to a wide variety of really interesting monetary history and artwork, so it's always good to brush up on the information and understanding of the notes, and that is what I'm aiming to do with this series. My goal is to cover each of the main types of banknotes, highlighting everything from consecutive notes to fancy serial numbers to uncirculated and circulated bills to errors. So much info to condense and present to you - hopefully you can take away something valuable that will help you in your collecting goals.

I have a few of these as well and some interesting $5 bills. Where would someone go to sell these to the right collector?

I got one of these today. Noticed it when I was getting quarters at a Laundromat. Saw it in my wallet. Got it back in change from the Dollar General. Brought it home. Stuck it in a book. A 1957 B. It is in really good shape. Has no star before serial number.

I got 2 1935 bills. One is B series and the other is E series. And I noticed the print on the E series is printed slightly smaller than the B series. Just wondering if you know anything about that. Thanks.

Hi, I work for a bank when I was younger and one of the tellers told me I should buy these four one dollar bills because they are silver seal with the blue stamp and starnote. I can send you a picture if you like? I’ve had them for About 45 years And they were never circulated. I kept them just in the envelope that I put them in when I bought them. I am trying to figure out what their value is. They are the A series.

Yesterday I visited a large Georgian Mansion here in the UK and they have a bunch of portraits done by Gilbert Stuart hanging up on the wall of the library. Didn’t know they were there until a curator pointed them out to me lol

I have one. The value to me is the fact that I received it as change at McDonald's last week. 😅

Hey I need some help. I’m in the junk removal business I clean out homes that are sold off to realtors . basements, attics, garages ETC . Recently I found some money in regular bills and in the same safe there was also a huge bill which is a 100 dollar note dating 1985 . Says legal tender and has a serial number starting with the letter I. It has the number 9 on all four corners and it’s the size of 3-4 regular bills combined. If anyone can point me to the right person i would appreciate it . Thanks in advance
