This is one of the rare times I got it. Rarer still because it is also an occasion that I got it right and the three contestants didn't.

Woah--right again! 🥳 No spoilers, but the one nickname reminded me that Japan is "land of the rising sun, " 🇯🇵 so I guessed the other was nearby. 😉 Strange that none of these players got even close.

Two days in a row my first thought was right answer and then I went with something else.
That's why they say, always go with your first instinct.

I got it pretty easily, since I knew that one of the Koreas was home to the Hermit Kingdom. I didn't remember which one, but it didn't matter.

The hermit country was easy. The other one I guessed was SK. Maybe the first time I got final jeopardy right & none of the contestants did.

That was easy. It helped that I have set foot in both, though only a meter or so into the North.

This one seemed like it would be fairly easy. North Korea is often referred to as
The Hermit Nation". Once you get that, the most likely answer for the other country would be South Korea.

Both terms apply to both Koreas. Hermit Kingdom and Land of the Morning Calm both pre date the Japanese occupation and subsequent division.

First country to come to mind was Bhutan, racked my brain trying to think of a nation for the latter part, then realized the actual pair with about 8 seconds to spare.

I've heard 'Hermit' used for both NK and Bhutan. The other clue was not familiar. Tough one.

I was confused at first because the "hermit nation" has "land of the morning calm" as part of its official name.

My mom, who lived in South Korea for a year, got kinda upset when she saw that none of the contestants got it right. I just told her not to get mad just because they don’t know geography, or at least, what the “Hermit Nation” and “Land of the Morning Sun” are.

I got this one... I was surprised that they didn't know the "Hermit Kingdom" moniker... I did not know the "Land of the Morning Calm"... but I was deeply surprised FJ clue being a triple stumper. Alas, not as easy a clue as I thought. Josh continues his progress on.

I said Scotland & Wales, and then remembered they actually don’t border one another lol
