Liz Truss announced as UK PM after eight weeks of 'blue on blue' attacks

Sky News host Peta Credlin says newly announced UK Prime Minister Liz Truss is the third to hold the job, following Theresa May and Margaret Thatcher.

“All Conservative, I might add, with British Labour yet to even have a female leader let alone prime minister,” she said.

Ms Credlin said the eight week campaign to be prime minister – fought primarily between Ms Truss and former chancellor of the exchequer Rishi Sunak – could have been seen as “blue on blue attacks”, which would see the winner unable to unite the party.
