The journey of this bird in the mailbox!

It all started with the bird going inside of the mailbox and making a nest and laying some eggs in there, we also put a deformed chicken egg in there to see if it would hatch. and after checking on the eggs, I saw that there was a baby bird in there.

Also, birds will abandon their nest if they think a parasite bird has laid an egg in it, a parasite bird is for an example is a cow bird or a cuckoo. They basically take up all of the food from the birds, biological babies, and the other babies will die usually. Sometimes the parasite checks for even crack, the other eggs, and or the parasite parents will as well Sometimes, if a parasite bird has laid an egg in another Birdsnest, they’ll abandon the nest

Just so you know, she would never have been able to hatch the chicken egg as for one, it was deformed and most likely infertile. Two, their incubation time is a whole week less than a chicken's and needs to be warmed the entire time. Three, I don't think she'd even be able to turn it properly given the size.
Please don't try that again. It can spread disease too and kill both the mom and chicks. Chickens have some really nasty bacteria that they're immune to that other birds aren't and vice versa. We don't let our chickens near our other birds for that reason

Get rid of the silly chicken egg. It’s not going to hatch, it just interferes with mom’s ability to incubate.
And even if there was a chick born, the chick would peck the others to death

For those of you wondering 2 hatched all the rest but one egg disappeared and the last one the bird developed but was never able to hatch but then later after they were still in the mailbox they got hit by a tornado and the birds disappeared but all the chickens and everyone there was ok, he said some of the neighbors houses had been taken away though

If anyone’s wondering why the chicken egg thing is a bad idea, brood parasitism happens in birds, which is when a mother will lay an egg in another birds nest instead of raising it themselves. If a parent notices that there is an egg or chick that isn’t theirs they sometimes abandon the whole nest.

Why do you think she moved the eggs? Because she couldn't incubat the eggs properly with that chicken egg in there?? Even if it did hatch??? It's a chicken man😂 it will crush the other chick's😢? Soon as its dry it will want to leave that mailbox 📬 straight away?? Leave the birds alone. Somting a 5 yea old would do😂😂sad😂
