We had one pretending to be injured to lure us away from her eggs on a logging job. We searched for an hour and found it. Then put ribbons around it in a 30 foot radius so machines would stay out of it. They are good moms

Love them they come back to our home every year. Glad to provide them with a safe spot to hatch out their young. Nothing cuter than baby killdeer running along after mom.

There was a killdeer bird that made its nest in the sidewalk by my school. Some kids were stupid enough to go up to it and the bird almost attacked them.

Those things chased me at the park one time. I got too close to the nest. When the make that shrill sound, my husband will say, "Hey! Here comes your favorite bird! Ha ha ha!" Ugh!
