Bonus task:
• David will try almost any outdoor activity even if it's dangerous. ➡ This implies that he will try any outdoor activity despite being dangerous; it makes no difference.

• David will try almost any outdoor activity unless it's dangerous. ➡ This means that he won't try any outdoor activity if it was dangerous; meaning that he will try any outdoor activity only if it wasn't dangerous.

Think about a gold that you have. What do you need to do to reach it?
I wouldn't reach the gold unless I used I used metal detector.
Bonus Task:
How are these sentences different in meaning?
1. David will try almost any outdoor activity even if it's dangerous.
2. David will try almost any outdoor activity unless it's dangerous.
They are different in meaning. The first sentence means that David will try to do any out door activity regardless if it is safe or not, but in the second sentence there is one possibility that David will try to do an outdoor activity if it's not dangerous.
so in the second sentence (unless = if not)

1- David will try it anyway, no matter the risk. ( without any condition)
2- David will try almost any outdoor activity, on the condition that it's not
dangerous. (there's a condition here)
* The existence of the condition in sentence 2 makes them different in
meaning.
Homework:
Unless I start to take driving lessons, I won't get my driver's license.
