Crushing gold ore from the Jessie mine.

Finally got the time to crush the ore samples taken from the two adits on the Jessie mine. Used the impact mill to crush the samples, and the gold cube to run the crush. Found a small amount of gold in the upper adit, and more in the lower adit.

Dan,
First of all, I tip my hat to you for being a teacher.  That is such an noble and under paid/appreciated career where I am in N. California USA.  I want to thank you for all your videos.  I wish my school had your course when I was there.  I am new to prospecting and have learned a lot from your videos.  However In one season, I don't think I have enough gold to even attempt weighing it!  Hard to find good areas that don't already have claims in California and I don't claim jump.  Keep up the good work.

Hi Dan. I allways look forward to your videos. Love the sites you bring us to, brings back memories, beeing born and growing up in Vancouver. Have just come back from a trip to Norway and Sweeden, where we spent a couple of days by a copper/gold mine from the 1700's. Found a little, fine gold and copper pieces in the tailings and brought home some rocks and quarts pieces. Going to have a closer look at those :-)
Keep up the wonderful videos. Greatings from Denmark

When you DO wet the material, it stops the dust .. so there is that.
Good video, as usual. Thanks Dan.

Oh dang forgot to like all these, going back to do it now. You are the best to watch indefinitely. I have never seen anyone using a spiral wheel or gold cube. Not sure what the wheel is even for or how it works. I seen another fellow doing mineral crushing and was paying for it all and having it lab tested and everything. Than he began doing chart examples of costs and became very confusing. He worked it out that it would cost too much and he abandoned the claim. I sure learn much from you so keep up the good work.
God bless and have a great season!

Dan, I love and have learned alot from your videos. Kudos to you and for all the time and energy you put into them. You have some lucky students! I'm new to all this and I'm still learning what different pieces of equipment do and when they are used, so here's my question - Is this crushed rock the type of material that some people run on a shaker table or is this too fine?

Nice set up to do your crushing. Where are you doing this? Just saw more of the video. It is your old classroom. Sweet!

What is the body of that CRusher made of ? Something like some Serious Gas Pipe I wonder ? I find it humorous that vacuum is way louder then the crusher. Would have thought it the other way around ? LOL Cross contamination using Buckets sent me on a 50 mile drive Goose Chase one time. Waisted Gas and Time it was.

Does the concentration of dissolved and suspended solids in the water change it's ability to drop small gold? I would assume as it thickens this might create problems.

i wonder if they know their gold cube is actually a gold rectangular prism...

Hi Dan! Was wondering, is that the same crusher you mantled a doubled pulley on? Another question is, what size is the holes for the screen on the crusher? Good work man!

Prospecting - Not always going to find something large enough to photograph. Well done - nothing ventured nothing gained!

lol power connections for cube in the water on floor, good thin is only 12 volts. is there any gold in vacume dust?

looks like some extendable legs with rubber feet would go great on that thing so it wouldn't walk itself all over the place anymore.. that and a filter on the back in from a sander so you wouldn't need the vacuum

Off topic and out of curiosity, is there a slightly detectable Irish accent there Dan?

have you used a detergent in the water at any time and would this help at all?

I am surprised you did not run the samples through a jaw crusher first, , but then what do I know

I got a question there, why is it good to see pirite in your sample?
