Miss Betty passed away July 19, 2024. Her son posted the news on his facebook page. Betty had the sweetest smile. Rest in peace, Miss Betty.

My mom had dementia, she also did not recognize herself in the mirror. We eventually had to cover her mirror because she would argue aggressively with her reflection. I hope betty stays friend with herself.

This is so beautiful. I love that she can love herself in that state. There is nothing better than seeing someone with dementia smile and enjoy themselves. I’m a caregiver who takes care of people with dementia and I try my hardest to joke and have fun with them because they deserve it. Keep taking good care of your Mom.
