People travelling from other countries are about to find out just how car-dependent everything in America is. Almost every stadium is outside of its city and everyone is expected to drive there so it has an enormous parking lot several times bigger than the stadium itself.

2026 World Cup looks insane, Maybe it will be the first time to see a World Cup live, God willing

The biggest significance I see is that even though some of the stadiums will need renovations, after the big event they won't sit idle.

Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo, Lewandowski, Modric...hard to imagine a world cup without those legends...I feel empty.

The 2026 World Cup will no doubt be one of, if not the biggest sporting event in Human History. It could also work as a foundation to form better relations between Mexico, Canada, and the USA.

As an Englishman, the stadiums look awesome and the World Cup is worth getting excited about. Four years late is better than never.

Awesome. This is how all World Cups should be hosted. Using existing stadiums and not overburdening countries in having to build new venues.

2022 WC: You may attend the world cup in one city
2026 WC: You may attend in a whole continent

It doesn't matter what everyone says, this tournament will be the biggest sporting event ever organized.
The NFL, MLB. even the Olympics will dwarf compared with this competition.
Soccer/football is the ONLY sport in which the resulting winners are true World Champions.
And as a native of this Northern part of the continent, and knowing the cultural environment of Americans, Mexicans and Canadians this is set to be the greatest party our planet earth has seen in recent years.
I'm so ready!

As an American, who also loves soccer/football, I am very excited for World Cup 2026.

If any fans, who do not live in North America, especially America, you will need to understand how vast the countries are. It is commonly said that in Europe, if you take a train for 4 hours, you might have been through 5 different countries. However in the US, 4 hours in the US might have taken you one State over, or maybe none. The American Public Transportation system is very, very underdeveloped sadly. You will need to either arrange a rental car, or a ride share. The size of the US is an understatement. Please do not think you can hit LA, NYC, Miami, Dallas, and Chicago all in 1 or 2 days, unless you fly.

I never knew stadiums can be so fascinating

It will be cool if the semifinal games are in Canada and Mexico, symbolizing different sides of the bracket and then they meet in the middle the U.S. for the world cup final.

Atlanta for being a city that is rarely mentioned for public transportation actually looks like one of the best in the US options. Right there in downtown, walkable from many of the hotels and a short MARTA ride if one were to stay in Buckhead or Midtown areas. Atlanta is going to be an incredible host city.
