"I'm not good with anything STEM related, so I have no idea why I chose this major" and begins to cry. HILARIOUS! Great video!

Mr. Merten, thank you so much for making this. I'm a Candidate and I've only really experienced USNA, which is why it's really great to see what WP is like.

I failed out in record time, but some of the shots brought back the memories. I graduated from a different college, and became a linguist through enlistment, but I'll never forget my time in the F Troop. Great video.

Great video, Cadet Merten. Love the production value and the charisma. If there is ever a sequel to "Good Morning, Vietnam", you're the guy!

I am in seventh grade right now and we had a talk with our pricipals about what we need to do to set ourselves up with success. I have decided that West Point would be a great opportunity for my life. My vice principal is writing a letter of recommendation for my middle school years. My science teacher from last year knows congressmen, she said she would put in a good word for me. I know it sounds extreme, but one day, i would like to be the president of the U.S. and out of the research i have decided this would be a perfect college, if i meet the requirements. I think this is the greatest video i have found on YT of what it is like to be a West Point student. I hope I will be walking around the West Point campus one day. Thank you for this video!

Great vid! I used to go TDY to West Point frequently. I live down the road from Texas A&M. There is a locked drawer in every cadet's room that the tac officers can't inspect. The cadets call it the "Liquor Locker". It's also not unusual for an Aggie Cadet to be concealed carrying a pistol on and off campus. Beat Navy! Air Force doesn't matter.

Bro, this video could not be more perfect. I'm headed up to USMA this coming summer for CBT. I just got accepted (October 2023) and am beyond pumped to be able to experience all of it. Videos like these literally get me so excited because they're where I'll be in a year. Thanks a lot for the video and the tremendous amount of insight, and good luck with plebe year. Oh, and by the way, I went to high school with Ku'ili for 2 years. Pine Forest High School, Fayetteville, North Carolina.

A comment on a day at West Point from the View of a Non West Pointer. I visited west Point as a ROTC cadet in October 1970. The two things I remember most were 0600 morning formation (in the dark) and how the plebes were treated(especially at mealtime) The plebes at my table did not have their stuff together and their time to just eat was very limited. Also The cannon went off at 0600. I also remembering the plebes standing in the hallway yelling like there is 8 minutes to morning formation, then there is 6 minutes to morning formation and the 2 west point juniors I was rooming with were then just thinking of getting out of bed.
