Create a Data Marker in Illustrator

Love this tutorial thank you so much! I am attempting to use this method for an illustrator scatter plot chart. I would like all the plot markers to be slightly larger and circle shapes. However, at the point where I am ready to apply the new design to the markers, I get an error that says: "Can't use the marker design. The requested transformation is too extreme." I do not know what I am doing wrong. I am only making a circle shape slightly larger than the original square. Do you have any advice? (FYI using Illustrator 2021 or 25.4.1) Thanks!

A great video and thanks for that :-) ... I did run into a problem though. I have a line chart with three lines. I have created a datapoint for two of the lines (at the moment). The problem I am facing is, that the datapoints get different sizes for the two lines. I (think I) made the datapoints the same way (following your guide, but using a different design), but the datapoints get two different sizes. Can I adjust the size og the datapoint in any way?

Is there a way to format the marker's data using the codes? I need to use commas to separate thousands and millions and the code only gives plain numbers. I need to go from 1234567 to 1, 234, 567. Is there a % codes table?

Thanks for a great tutorial! On my first attempt to assign the data marker, all the markers dissappeard. There is only the line, and I can't find the markers. can you help?

Great tutorial. But how can we make AI to show 0 at the end of values. If I set my market to show 2 decimals, and they are zeros, they don't shown. If I set my marker to show 3 decimals, and my number is 56.890, the marker only shows 56.89. There is something am I missing? Thanks!

Thanks for a great tutorial!
But say that i have two lines with two different colors. How do you apply the same colors to the marker. Right now i can only choose one marker and it applies to both lines. looks no good seens one of them has different color.
