There is nothing compelling about this, it’s scary. It’s just Taliban but with a different flavor

Sounds like The Taliban with less seasoning.

Two words why this is doomed: Abraham Kuyper.
Why?
Kuyper was Prime Minister of the Netherlands (equivalent to the president of the US), established a major media outlet (newspaper), established a political party, established a denomination, established a university, and on and on. He had more power and influence in the culture than these Christian nationalists could ever dream about. And less than 80 years after he died, the percentage of committed Christians in the Netherlands was probably less than 5%. Jesus said, "I will build my church." Jesus did not come to this earth to establish power in the culture. So if that's your mission, then know that you are fighting against the mission of the Son of God. And guess what - you're going to lose. And yet every generation, there rises up a bunch of guys who think they're the first one to ever try it. Sad they don't know history.

His answers were so redundant. He really made 3 sentence answers into a whole speech.

The political opinions of people with ridiculous superstitious beliefs should not be taken seriously.

Wow. Joel handled Stephen Wolfe's work with I'd say extremely fair level handed tact. Joel, very good job. When he states "Stephen, has claim on Calvin, not me" at the 33:47 mark was pretty cool admission. Joshua, great interview. I listen to Joel from time to time. Joel has a very transparent and convicting faith and has challenged me on more than one occasion to think deeper.

I am glad for now that there is a separation of church and state. Fairytales should never rule nations.

No divorce - I guess he missed the part in the bible where MEN were issuing letters of divorce to their wives - WITHOUT VALID REASONS. Man, you're reaching on that Woman's Suffrage piece.

You can't make a nation a Christian nation, only Christ can!

Does this guy ever address the fact that the concept of "nation" as we know it today didn't exist when the words were written in the Bible and wouldn't exist for over a millennium? Is it in his 20 page thing or anything?

Edit: I read his 20 page thing. He never addresses the fact that the nation didn't exist for 1500 years after Jesus's death. Nor does he even bother grappling with translations in any way. He just quotes and cites to an English translation and just sort of leaves it.
