LGBT Snapshots: Ethel Waters

Ethel Waters was a well-known American blues, jazz and gospel vocalist and actress—the first black woman to be nominated for an Emmy, and the second to be nominated for an Academy Award. She saw her sexuality as fluid, and had both male and female partners.

I'm an African American woman, who use to act, so it was always great to hear more about the black actresses from back in the day. That being said, I never knew about most of their sexuality. The personal lives of those entertainers are still interesting. Thanks for making this vid.
