i feel like this was one of the most memorable parts of the game and what made omori, omori

I know we already have a few variations of Basil's theme, and I love all of them, but this one just hits in a certain way, but perhaps it is because of how fleeting it is. I don't know.

I just know that after the loneliness of the memories in the library, as well as the dull, dark coloring, seeing Basil through the bookcase, accompanied by this slowed, simplistic, and atmospheric piano version of his theme, felt like a brief breath of fresh air- gone as soon as it came.

(I'd like an extended version of this specific arrangement, in summary)
Edit: It may be coincidental, but I wonder if what I just described was the intended effect, because that lone piano note that plays at 0:03 reminds me distinctly of the piano note you'll hear whenever Sunny uses an action like "Calm Down" in the face of his terrors.

We are halfway Through this OMORI Soundtrack.
I mean technically speaking the 1st half from there is 1h50 and the 2nd half is 2h05 (also 179/2=89.5).
But I like to think of this song as a clear cut between 2 halves.

All he sees is death and Something. Death trying to save him from the knowledge he has, and Something, being an important part of that knowledge.

That one piano note at 0:03 sounds like the exact beginning note of the Duet.
