Real talk now.
1: Given this and Temmie Chang's "Potion Shop, " (yes, THAT Temmie) I'm absolutely convinced that thesis films are the best animations on the internet
2: After reading some comments, I completely understand how symbolic this. It seems to be about living with depression. "Speakerfox, " as I like to call him, is literally fighting his own inner demons. Doubts, fears, regrets... Everything someone with depression would be dealing with. But the symbolism doesn't really kick in until about halfway, when the demon wins. I noticed how Speakerfox folds his arms before he falls, as if he's willing to accept his fate. So, while the demon was manipulating him to walk off the cliff, it also convinced him that he deserves to lose. People with depression usually put themselves down, allow themselves to believe that there's no point in existing. Thankfully, the purple orb (which I believe is the Spirit Speakerfox is seeking) manages to make him believe that he CAN win, and gives him the power to do so. The main reason people with depression are able to keep going is because they have friends and family who support them.
I just wonder if I'm actually correct about this, or if I'm just grasping at straws trying to find a meaning behind this awesome animation.
Either way, even if I'm 3 years late to the party, this is still an amazing animation! Keep up the great work!

3: It's always surprising how much story you can tell without a word of spoken dialogue

I know I'm late to the party, but did anyone else notice how each of the characters had their own music associated with them? (Electric guitar for the fox, synth for the spirit, and a more sinister style of electric guitar for the demon.) It's a very nice touch and makes the whole thing even more amazing.

This is so inspiring as an artist and also to someone who was depressed. The story of fighting your demons and winning is something a lot of people try to do. The music is also very beautiful and the characters are absolutely amazing. I'm not good a writing things like this but I have it my best. All in all, I just really want to say thank you. ^w^

I can't remember when I found this video but it has been one of my most favorite videos ever since. Sometimes I come back to it and just watch it over again just cuz.
