Cirrus 2.75' Ice Ball Press Kit | Williams-Sonoma

Показать описание
Instead of predictable ice cubes in your next cocktail, consider an ice sphere almost as large as a baseball, made by the Cirrus Ice Press Kit. The 2.75" diameter ice spheres make for a beyond-dramatic drink presentation and melt more slowly and evenly for less drink dilution.

The product featured in this video can be purchased at Williams-Sonoma:

Thank god I don't have the counter space or I would not have been able to resist impulse buying this $700 beaut! I just had to settle for ice molds for the freezer for $10 that make perfect spheres of the same size. It is not anodized steel, though, so I guess that is what the additional $690 is for.

when i saw the video, i thought it'd cost no more than 30-40 dollars... i was floored to visit the website and saw that the cost was actually 700. NO THANKS.

Guys...this is the 2.75" version. It retails for $1400, NOT $700. You have to pay a $700 for the extra .75"

My favorite parts are how making the ice in aluminum will help bring it the bouquet in the whiskey and what the hell was that decanter?

This has to be the most unnecessary product ever invented. I have some of the silicon ice ball molds like probably everyone here does and the balls are decent. They're not as big as this one but at $10 those balls are looking very good by comparison. Who the hell would pay +$700 for this?!?!?!

I saw that Williams-Sonoma actually sells a silicone ice ball mold for $11, and the balls are almost as big as these. The only downside is that you'd have to wait for the balls to freeze, as opposed to making a block and melting it into a ball like this, but it's a small trade-off for a gadget with the same shtick for 1% of the price.

The quintessential gift for the person who has everything already. For the rest of society, a $10 ice ball mold will work just as well.

It would be more impressive if you made clear ice....

The ball ought to be clear. Does it go clear if you leave it in long enough?

either way you've got to wait for the ice to freeze first... nice but I don't see the point. The ice WILL still melt, as it's ICE. And I don't see how a sphere will make whiskey smell stronger than any other shape. Might be my own fault for not taking Science or Physics classes, but still...

Saw this at a hotel in san diego, I want one!

These devices are obsolete.
For $120, the Wintersmith's "Ice Chest" ice mold will make four totally clear balls of ice at a time.

It's mind boggling that companies charge hundreds of dollars for these when you could make one yourself with a couple blocks of aluminum and a drill press.

Does it heat? Or the ice melts naturaly?

"the sfearical shape will not dilute your favourite drink " making it into a ball makes ice not melt?

How much does it cost I’m too lazy to check it out

Oh come on. Use some directional freezing to get clear ice to do that justice
