Cute video, and I was so happy to find this song! We had this record when I was a little girl, we played this over and over and over.

It's seem clear to me that this was posted as a tribute to your own Marty. I didn't know him, obviously, but having this here, to listen to when the mood hits (which it's done several times over the years), I almost feel like he's a little, tiny bit my Marty now, too. Thank you for posting the song, but most of all, thank you for sharing Marty with all of us. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

I dozed off at my computer for about 10 minutes and when I woke up I had this song in my head, and I have no idea WHY when I haven't even heard it in ~50 years! What is this supposed to tell me? For context, I grew up in the USA, and I think the teacher played this for us on some occasion in 4th or 5th grade. The accompanying pictures are all strange in that I feel like I know these people, especially the woman at 0:40. My jaw dropped when I saw her, and I don't even know why. The melody vaguely reminds me of "Popeye the Sailor Man."

I remember this from when I was in elementary school in the 60s

Thank you for posting this! My mom and dad always played this song (from reel-to-reel, "Through Children's Eyes" — RCA Victor, Live) for me when I was growing up. My name is Marty (but I'm a girl, lol). How fun it was to find this! But tell me - I'm curious: Who are the people in this video? Would I be correct to assume this was a tribute to a beloved Marty, someone who the Limeliters did not know? Or was this Marty a friend of the Limeliters?
