You should try using a hairdryer to slightly melt the cores, I've done this with Prismas I've dropped and it works amazingly

I live in a very hot climate and when I find a broken lead I just leave the set of pencils outside for a while in the shade. If you're in a cool climate maybe leave the box in the trunk for 2 hours.

Hi Erin, my original set of Black Widows are the same. I have sharpened them away to nothing trying to colour one pic. I wish I’d used them after just getting them so I could’ve returned them. I hope they’ve improved as my set is disappointing.
