A Different Way to Color Leaves | Prismacolor Blending Tutorial | Johanna Basford World of Flowers

In this video, I will be sharing with you a different way to color leaves without giving much thought to light and shadow placement. So many of us tend to think that leaves can only be colored in shades of green or yellow (for highlights). I will show you how to add in more colors that you may not have thought to add to your leaves. We will be coloring in Johanna Basford's World of Flowers. This is a very easy tutorial for anyone, whether beginner or experienced colorist, to follow. Happy Coloring! Just before I came to this video, I was on a site that has Swarovski crystals, and I was looking at the iridescent finishes on some of the darker beads, the blues, purples, and had a random thought to go back there and keep the page in mind for coloring blends and options. :-D Then I come here, and my thought was you just "Iridesced" a leaf!!! It's gorgeous!!! What is the point of having a bazillion different colors of pencils if you don't play with the blends and come up with magical things like this? Using different colors, you could make pale pearl leaves or dark ones or light/medium/dark iridescent combinations, which are always applied over another color, so you made magic today. I loved it!!!
