Echoes and Triple Crown! NS 4203 South in Springfield, IL 10/26/24

Over to the NS side now for the 1st and only train I got for this line while I was here, and it was the new Triple Crown stack train that replaced the famous roadrailer trains. While not as unique, it's still a neat looking train in my opinion. And once again, one of favorite aspects of Springfield is horn echoes, and this K5LA really delivered, especially in the going away shot.

As for the crossing, this has brand new Siemens signals. This setup won't last too long though, as it's evident that once the UP tracks are realigned through here, this will become a full quad gated setup with pedestrian gates. How long until that happens, I don't know, but time will tell.

I like these new signals. Especially the way they are set up with the asphalt around them. It just looks like a real clean set up. Interesting how they are gonna install exit gates as a result of UP realignning their tracks through here.
